Preview for #4, with a neat variant. Looks like we're also getting a new artist for part of the issue, not bad.

I love Elektra. I hope she severs Arcades head. She's best when she's more action less dialogue.
I will agree that getting too much inside Elektra's head only provides more opportunities for a writer to get her wrong. You've really got to have a handle on her to do it right.
So, I was looking on Amazon, and unless something changes, they've still got Vol 1. of this series set to collect issues 1-6. Maybe not cancelled, at least not yet? It's also slated to come out in September, so who knows. If anything, hopefully they're re-tooling/relaunching. I know the writer is now working on a Star Wars book, so maybe the hiccup involves slotting in a new creative team. Then again, with #5 solicited as the conclusion to the Bet on Red story, maybe we're just getting an additional one-off/set up for something else.

Maybe #5 ends the story and #6 is the epilogue? We've gotten Epilogue one off issues in past Elektra series.
My favourite run was Rodin's run on Elektra where you get to the end and realize the past 4 "missions" are all connected. That was AWESOME because individually they were great stories, but the connection between them was fabulous.
Another thread made me remember one of my favourite images/covers

August solic lists the series as #1-5
Yeah the book is officially gone after just 5 issues. It's a good job Marvel is releasing more X books because without them my pull list would be virtually none existent. I was also collecting Spider-Man 2099 which has been cancelled as well.
Yeah, just saw that. So disappointing.
As always, I'm left with the hope they'll use her in other books. She'll be in Defenders, maybe that will be semi permanent.

Today's issue was another disappointment. He's neutered her prowess by having screwball be any kind of challenge, and he spends too much time in her head over explaining even simple things.
Ugh.
I really wanted this series to continue beyond #5, but alas that is not the case.
While I do applaud that the writer of this series didn't stick her with Bullseye or The Hand yet, Arcade was a pretty dull first arc choice. I hate Arcade so much. He really is such a one off villain who has been doing the same scenario for the past however many years. The part-time artist fill in for this issue also really dropped the ball compared to the original penciller. For any future series, I hope the writer stays away from Bullseye/The Hand for the first arc or so and use more interesting villains. Maybe create some new enemies, bring back Chastity McBryde, or just explore something else.
I love Arcade. Frankly, it's half the reason I'm reading. And, honestly, he feels like the highlight. But, even then, this is pretty dull. Maybe it's because Arcade shouldn't be for longer than a two-parter.

I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake!

I really appreciate doing different, at least for a first arc (worked great last volume), and that's what is so frustrating to me. We got two good setup issues, and then a total drop of the ball.
