Elektra Appreciation: Lady in Red

Thanks so much for posting this! I have been dying to see it. Yeah she does kinda look like Mileena, Jade and Kitanna from Mortal Kombat, but that makes a lot of sense. It kinda reminds me of the Hand Ninja's attire, so maybe she will serve as an introduction to the Hand in the MCU?

We shall wait and see. I have a feeling we might finally get a proper media adaption of Elektra with this series.

Technically, the character Nobu from last season was the introduction of The Hand into the MCU (badass Japanese ninja in red costume, in a DD project=The Hand). But this might be the first time that The Hand is explicitly mentioned/revealed, as opposed to merely being implied/hinted at like last season.

It might be less about Daredevil and more about avoiding being recognized by witnesses or law enforcement. Just because Matt might know her identity doesn't mean the cops do.

Yeah, I noticed the sandals as well. But that still looks like it'd be rather impractical. They're not particularly thick/sturdy, so she could easily break them when running/exerting herself, or step on something sharp that'd got right through them and into her foot, etc.

What costume? All I see is glorified underwear. But then again, her costume does tend to lend itself to that kind of "interpretation." It's why I hope that the show tweaks it to make it, more ninja-esque.

She's not barefooted here; those are just some REALLY thin oriental sandals she's got, with the toe thongs becoming her leg wraps.

They had a Hand agent as a recurring character in Season 1, and there was a whole subplot with him that I don't think was ever resolved (his group wanted to build...something in Hell's Kitchen).

I imagine Elektra is going to be connected to that somehow.

I'm pumped in the way that I felt when I saw Anne Hathaway in TDKR Prologue reel... Goosebumps. Cannot wait for April to come by!
