Well, like I missed the shield... so you missed that.

Yeah that made me laugh. Sam was such a great portrayal of a serious and loyal soldier (and friend) and a bit of a wise-ass. Mackie's perf really made him feel genuine and real to me.

Yeah, Mackie's performance as Falcon was really spot on I thought.

Tucci makes me cry when he's talking to Steve about why he was chosen. He was just so wonderful; I want to hug his Erskine. I wish there was more with Sebastian Stan and Steve, they were so terrific together. And I liked that it was Brubaker's Bucky informing Stan's perf. That mixed with the beautiful performance by Chris. They just nail it.

I agree with everything you said. I also like the performance of Haley Atwell as Peggy. The chemistry between her and Chris, I thought was really good. I liked their back and forth, and the final scene, was kind of hart breaking. Even though I knew what was going to happen with Cap is was kind of like "Noooooooooo" LOL.

I'm not a fan of Weaving in most of this, I never quite believed he was Schmidt, which was why I was so happy that CATWS used Hydra (and a proxy of his Red Skull his organization rather than him) instead of going the published route. I dug Toby Jones (I appreciated him a lot more after reading this and seeing Zola in CATWS.) So it's all good.

In liked Toby Jones as Arnim Zola, I LOVED how they use him in CA: TWS, and hope we get to see his final transformation, i.e. the robot with a human conscious we all know and love, in Cap 3.

And the Howling Commados were just perfect too. I wanted a lot more with Gabe, Dum Dum and Morita especially.

I really liked the Howling Commandos. I hope we get to see them in the new series, staring Haley Atwell.

Back to the script, I was happily surprised when Marvel published this.

Speaking of publishing, have you read Larry Hama's prose novel of the Death of Captain America? I haven't yet and I was wondering what folks thought.

As soon as I get some monies, I'm going to get the script. As for Hama prose, no I haven't, not yet.

Yeah, MCU Thor and Loki are disappointing to me. Hiddleston is very good, but the whole thing just isn't my cuppa. It's all good.

It's been SO long since I've read the novels I can't remember much of them, so I have the movies to fall back on, I know they're not 100% straight from the books though.

The villains are the big draw for me: the twins, Von Strucker and Ultron. Makes the stakes so much higher. If I like it, great. If not, I've got the Cap movies and that's plenty for me.

I'm not sure the twins will be villains, at least through the whole movie, Von Strucker I'm psyched to see, I hope he, or Zemo, is Cap's villain in Cap 3, to kind of bring an end to HYDRA once and for all. Ultron, will be awesome, of this I have very little doubt.

I'm not a party person, but I think I'd still go to Vegas once. NYC also has that City that Never sleeps because you can find stuff to do and eat until the wee hours. Unfortunately the Hell's Kitchen area is gentrified now (as is Times Square ) 20 years ago it was another story. Now surviving the crowds that's another story.

I remember a former friend in a band not wanting to tour in NY back then because he still felt it was like what he'd seen in the Warriors and Escape From NY. LOL.

Being that baseball puts me to sleep, you can pick whatever fights you like.

I'm not much of a party person either, but there are still things to do like sight seeing, the Hoover Dam is an engineering wonder, IMO, of course the Las Vegas skyline at night is quite beautiful, and the fine dining in the resort & casinos. As for Hell's Kitchen, that's a downer, as for crowds, I'm not big on crowds but I can manage. "Warriors! Come out to play-yay!"

Cool. I liked the cover of Cap 21 and I loved his work on Winter Soldier.

Agreed on all Cap film stuff. I hope Zola will be around again despite Pierce saying Cap and BW cost Hydra Zola, it would be neat if his consciousness was transferred elsewhere in the world. McFeely and Markus did say that robot Zola was considered for CATWS but it was shot down in lieu of the talking computer.

And ditto my vote on Von Strucker for Cap 3. Kretschmann plays villains perfectly, and thus far, he seems both subtle and over-the-top. Zemo would be a good choice if they tie him into Bucky/WS somehow (which I think they can still do...) I am not so sure about the psycho Cap rumors being floated around for Cap 3. Yeah, it would give Chris a different Cap to play...

Comics-wise, glad to Thor is good. I have to say Nik Kleins' rendering of the Iron Nail on the cover of 21 was superb. Glad you're enjoying Cap's book.

(wishes Nik Klein would do an arc or two of All New Invaders. I'm still not sold on Pugh's face details, but the story and characterization are so good, I'm reading.)

I didn't know that about Zola in CA:TWS. I'm glad they went with the computer, that gives them the full on robot as an option for the third movie if they so desire.

Yeah, "50's Cap" moviewise sounds pretty lame, IMO. For the comics it was cool, but not everything would translate to film, this is one of those things, I think.

It's included in this volume, along with another adventure with Nat and Yelena. I think it's only collected in this hardcover thouh.

And they have the CATFA screenplay book cheaper too.

the Brubaker version of Sin scares me. If they do that, it would fix the MCU Red Skull anyway.
