Sony should keep Spider-Man. Why you ask? Because the actor Marvel wants to replace Garfield with is Drake Bell.

Jeff Robinov aka the former VP of Warner Bros who lost the head promotion to Tsujihara due in part for blocking WB from building their "Justice League" because of his failed Green Lantern movie.

Now that he's with Sony, he's blocking Marvel from building up a Cinematic Universe with Spider-Man.

Regardless, if Sony plans on REBOOTING Spider-Man anyway, might as well just have Marvel reboot him in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

If Marvel wants to bring Spidey back with a clean slate and back burner the emo romancy stuff in new movies I am all for it. For all the good of the ASM movies, I love Garfield's quippy Spider-Man, so much was done wrong. I am all for shaking that baggage and starting again with an established spidey so we dont need yet another movie where Uncle Ben dies.

Pete's always been a pound-the-walls emo with low self-esteem. If he suddenly became confident and emotionally stable, I wouldn't know how to handle it.

Yes, and that'll likely continue, regardless as to whether it's Andrew Garfield, or Josh Keaton, or Sony and Marvel with rights, or anything.

It's just a matter of synergy really, matching up the usual animated voices with the games and so on, whether one likes them or not. I think Drake Bell IS grand, but wasn't as good to start with, overly loud, too close to Mic I think, all that.

Could pull off a grand Peter or Spidey, after getting used more to voice acting, and with the right direction and writing involved.

Also, how would people think of a new Spider-Man series with Kravens' Last Hunt involved?

Not sure it'd be necessary to reboot for that, with the right atmosphere, direction, writing and acting, could work. Would be scary as all get out though, and just not sure it'd work without having a film or two with Kraven first, same with Vermin.

The idea of Ryan Gosling as Spider-Man sounds so funny I really want it to happen.

The main thing the hacks reveal is that Sony is confused as to which direction the SM franchise should be going, which everyone already knew after watching the last two movies.

Also wouldn't work if anything hasn't even been establish it. TIH the entire history would be insulting. Ned Leeds, Robbie Robertson, Betty brant, Kafka, Betty brant, flash, liz allen, MJ, etc. haven't all been established yet neither have been the villains. Are we really gonna skip spiderman lifting the entire pile? Really?

ctually after watching the second movie a d checking their directions. Strangely enough to be honest, fir a Sony movie andrew has Peter and spiderman hands down except for the YouTube and parents thing.
