Mysterio upcoming possibly? (light spoilers for Spider-Man 1.1)

So for those of you who've read Spider-Man 1.1 Learning to Crawl, you may have noticed Quentin Beck made an appearance! He was only present for a few panels, setting up the stage for Spidey's show, but could his presence be hinting that Mysterio is coming up? Of course it could always just be a fan service easter egg, what do you guys think?

I took it as Slott being a continuity king. I just read the. stern Spidey Omni and there is a mysterio story that has him telling us how he was present back stage working on effect during spidey's first apperences in show business.

I may be wrong but that's what I thought.

It would be nice if Slott could do a Mysterio and Mystique storyline involving The Scarlet Spider

I actually failed to consider continuity myself, I mean after all Mysterio's first appearance has to be in line with the already established first appearance in the original series. You're probably right.
