What if Absorbing Man touched the Silver Surfer's surfboard?

What would happen to him if he absorbed the Surfer's board? Debate.

He'd absorb the properties of its materials, that's how his powers work. The only iffy thing would be if doing so would let him fly or not. Other than that, he'd get the durability/strength thing he gets out of touching something particularly durable. He'd have to actually touch the Surfer to make with the power cosmic absorbing.

Given that the guy can absorb the powers and properties of Mjolnir, he'd simply become as tough and as silver as the board.

Absorbing Mjolnir neither gave him the capacity to fly nor did it give Thor mental control over him, so those two things shouldn't happen, I'd guess. OTOH, it did make his ball come back to his hand when he threw it, commented on in Thor 376 as being exactly like Thor's hammer in that respect.

He did do that in a mighty avengers arc. He wrecked Sentry pretty hard IIRC.

That sort of thing is a might outlier-y for Creel, he's more regularly had a "explodes past a certain limit", Quasar exploited it the once to blow him up after he absorbed the Quantum bands for instance by pumping more and more energy into him until kerblooey. Touching a cube or infinity gem to take its power should vapourize him (not that he doesn't get better from exploding that way eventually, but still)

Funny thing is, he even mentioned that he couldn't absorb Sentry's power while being cube'd.

While there was a moderately eyerolling "I'm okay if I only take so much" bit that followed it, an attempt to absorb the Sentry's power was another "done got vapourized" incident. Creel has a certain limit (a really, really high one, certainly, Quasar for instance pumped a loooot of energy into the guy), and past it he melts/explodes.

well to be fair when he first fought sentry he was indeed okay as long as he didn't take too much. only later on when sentry let him absorb more and more did he dissipate.

What I was referring to was the weirdness of Crusher going all *I know I can't absorb the Sentry's power because it is too much, so I'm going for a Cosmic Cube instead* when a full cosmic Cube is actually far more powerful than the Sentry.

Yeah, but by absorbing some things wouldn't that be countered by absorbing the ability to have limitless absorbing capacity?

When he is absorbing energy from Quasar or someone, that's just taking in power per se.

But when he is absorbing something like a cosmic cube or something else like that that presents those with it with mass reality altering capabilities, shouldn't it also grant him the ability to have a far greater absorbing limit?
