He's also clearly the good guy in this situation. Fantomex has been a dick to pretty much everyone in this book, Gambit has not. Whatever Soule is setting up between them, we're clearly supposed to be rooting for Gambit.

Oh yeah for sure. I think most people came in feeling that way anyway. Evidenced by the praise Gambit got when he kicked Fanto through the door. Still the best panel of the book to date.
