I wasn't fond of French Bishop...

I had a completely random thought about French bishop. Him and Gambit in a scene and speaking French with subtitles, and bishop gets annoyed with something Gambit said and says back, sorry don't understand you, I only speak French. ;p. I think random wierd things sometimes...

That does sound funny. But I've thought the same thing could be done with him and Fantomex. As infuriating as that characters existence is to me, they've failed so much at capitalizing on being self deprecating and just making fun of their similarities. Something simple like sharing a joke in French or tag team fighting an enemy while they comment that it's like fighting two of the same person... I always thought the same could be said about Gambit and Longshot or how Hawkeye compliments his fighting style, both being adept at fighting at all ranges, with Clint excelling more at long range and Gambit at close.

Well I suppose French Bishop works better in a film set in New Orleans and with a possible stop in Paris. It would also avoid Bishop's timr traveling back story which probably doesnt fit a Gambit movie.

Perhaps you could make him a foil for Gambit initially as Bishop works for French Interpol and is tracking the international thief. Then in later movies you find out Bishop is also after him because he thinks Gambit is the X-traitor. Onslaught as a future villain of the X-men or Gambit would be great.

Introduce Bishop in sequel or team movie where Gambit joined X-men so Bishop thinks Remy is a x-triator.

She was in Scarlet spider before without Gambit. It can be anything like that. However still interesting.
