Can they even make a crossover? FF looks like it takes place in modern day, Apocalypse is in the 80s, they'd have to flash forward with the X-MEN, and I don't want them to possibly lose these new actors for a crossover. But FF may not even make enough money.

I believe they're in different dimensions or something like that so they can basically just hand wave it to happen. This may also allow them an easy way to move the young X-Men to the present-ish without having to age them 30 years should they be so inclined.

Will mutants even be mentioned in FF? I mean, I know that they won't be the focus of the film, but if the FF and X-MEN are in the same universe then it should be at least mentioned in the FF that there are mutants, especially considering that Apocalypse takes place in the 80s and FF is modern so the mutant population would be even greater during the FF film.

Never been that keen on Kinberg after his treatment of Rogue, but I'm surprised Singer would want this...
I think they're trying to ape what Marvel are doing with a 'shared' universe.

The sheer volume of butthurt fanboy hatred directed at the FF reboot makes me want it to be a success.

Huh? Depends. Maybe people are just slightly tired of the same old, same old from the MCU. The Suicide Squad and Batman vs. Superman trailers have been killing it in terms of view count on YouTube after their Comic Con debut.

And Singer doesn't have the clout to make these kinds of decisions anyway. If he was opposed to it, it would take Fox approximately seven seconds to find someone else willing to take on the job.

No worse than Spider-Man in the Avengers IMO

    This will fail so hard....

Marvel may get those rights back after all.

Meh. The FF may revert back to Marvel, but the X-MEN aren't going anywhere.

It's a good idea we might actually see the X-MEN appear in one of their own movies for once.

I'm not a huge FF fan and I think the movies have been way off model or they're basing themselves on the dumbed down Mark Millar version.
