Sorry I'm Late!: Barry Allen Appreciation

The Flash (Barry Allen) has slowly but surely become one of my favorite DC heroes, right behind Batman. With that said, do any of you have suggestions on what to read? I'm looking for some really good Barry Allen stories to read.

Some of my favorite 'Barry ' Stories...

The return of Barry Allen... Actually a Wally story, but Barry was a major factor in it.

JLA: Year One, 12 issue series detailing Barry and others forming the Justice League.

Flash Greenlantern: The Brave and the Bold. 6 issue mini series about Hal and Barry through the years


All of which were ironically released during the Dead years, but they propelled Barry into the top tier of my favorite characters. Since they brought him back?? I didnt' really like many of his stories. Too much 'reinventing' the world... when I really wanted to see how Barry would fit BACK IN after his resurrection. Another thing that Return of Barry Allen did better.

Year One and Brave and the Bold are some of my favorites as well. And of course "Return" has a lot to do with his significance and status as Wally's mentor.

And it was (even though we didn't get the climactic Flash vs. Grodd showdown I was hoping for) .

I kind of wish this wasn't associated with the Venditti/Van Jensen run, but it's a nice illustration all the same.

pretty well, turns into a Grodd vs Solivar fight, though Barry and Grodd do trade some blows, which is all good with me.
