Yeah I'm of the mind that Year One stories should match the aesthetic set by Batman Year One and Batgirl/Robin Year One.
It's the Dynamic Duo! Batman and Robin!... and Red Robin and Red Hood and Nightwing and Batwoman and Batgirl and Orphan and Spoiler and Bluebird and Lark and Gotham Girl and Talon and Batwing and Huntress and Azreal and Flamebird and Batcow?

Since when could just anybody do what we trained to do? It makes it all dumb instead of special. Like it doesn't matter anymore.

I am curious to see how much of Barry Allen's original origin survives.
I absolutely HATE the 'murdered mum, wrongly imprisoned dad' bit introduced by Geoff Johns.
Barry never needed tragedy to be a hero. I think it takes something very important away from the character.

it's here to stay. There's nothing no one can do now. We should just move forward. I'm more interested in a rookie Barry Allen. I never read a rookie Barry before.
Imagine being proud to have negative traits. I can’t relate.

I can't agree with that. Nicola Scott didn't match the aesthetic in Wonder Woman: Year One, and nothing could convince me there was a more perfect artist for that arc. Jock's Green Arrow: Year One art was also fantastic.
    Currently Reading:

DC: The Flash, Challenge of the Super Sons, Nightwing

    Boom: Mighty Morphin', Power Rangers

I think Nicola Scott's art had that timeliness classic feel that was appropriate for a Year One story, but I agree Jock was great on Green Arrow: Year One .

I really don’t want to support DC at all right now, but Willliamson’s Flash run is the one title I am still enjoying. I’m not crazy about the different forces but he is still doing a lot of great work with the Flash. After his run concludes I think he will go down as one of the great Flash writers.
    AKA FlashFreak
    Favorite Characters:
DC: The Flash (Jay & Wally), Starman- Jack Knight, Stargirl, & Shazam!.
MARVEL: Daredevil, Spider-Man (Peter Parker), & Doctor Strange.

    Current Pulls: Not a thing!

I agree for the most part, Williamson is still great, what happened to Wally because Barry committed him may have soured my view on Barry as a character slightly (depending on how he handles telling Iris) but the book is still great
