Riddler got it the worse in TNBA redesigns (yes even worse than Joker), and they didn't even use him enough in that series. However, like Joker, when they merged the designs it really worked...
I can imagine Riddler being one of the harder characters to write for... as it has to be genuinely clever or we get things like "lie berry".
