McDowall also made a pretty cool return to Batman in the 90's - surprised the article didn't mention that, given he was pretty awesome as The Mad Hatter.

Good idea for an article. I'm sure there are plenty of readers who could benefit from explanation of the cultural context of the characters as well (for instance, "Shame" being a parody of "Shane", etc)

The photo of Roger C. Carmel is the only photo not from the Batman series.
That is Mr. Carmel as Harry Mudd in Star Trek, not as Colonel Gumm .
