I'm already a big fan of the people of Ngo. Big cute furballs.

This issue rocked. I loved #36 as well, I think it would be hard to argue that they're not the best two issues of this volume, and I say that as someone who liked Johnson's earlier run with Green quite a bit.
At least Newsrama included it in their best shots, but yeah, no other sites seem to care right now. If the quality keeps up eventually people will pick up on it though. I'm annoyed that both issues have been overshadowed in the press by the dire Wonder Woman issues they shared a release date with...
Good issue. I enjoyed it.
I think I'm in for the rest of the arc.
Absolutely love what the new creative team is doing here.
CBR has posted a pan review of the book though:

Stopped reading at this part:
The problem with "Supergirl" #37 is that the actual execution is a bit dull.
Finally got around to reading this tonight and all I can do is add to the praise. It really does read like a modern take on the ancillary titles of the late '90s and early 2000s.
But are you the only metal that's liquid at room temperature?
Thought I had earlier, if DC wanted an easy way to introduce M'gann M'orzz, they should have her as a student at the Crucible. I mean since she's basically a clone of Supergirl she fits all the criteria of the Crucible.
Favorites: Batman, Superman, All-New Wolverine, Deathstroke, Detective Comics, Green Lanterns, Doom Patrol
I'm only familiar with Miss Martian through the Young Justice TV show, but she's not that much like Supergirl in that. She would be a good fit for the Crucible though.
I don't know how the current arc will end, but I really would like the Crucible and its students to not be ignored after this. Just looking at the 2-page spread at the start of this issue made me think about just how much potential this location has. There's got to be more than 3 friends for Kara to make here. It's also somewhere that should be added to the mythos for future storylines to be set in throughout the DC cosmic titles as well as the Superbooks. If it gets blown up or something I'll be really annoyed.
That's... actually a cool idea. Don't think Miss Martian is a clone of Supergirl but perhaps similar themes but she might be a good addition for this book. Though strangely, Supergirls little team she has consists largely of telepaths on it if it were to happen. Only Kara and Tsavo would be the only non-psionic ones But I approve of this move, I hope DC now actually does add Miss Martian in this book.
Miss Martian was technically already introduced into the New 52. She was one of the younger heroes who Tim Drake was keeping an eye on way back in Teen Titans #1. It's just that DC hasn't actually USED her at all since then.
I love the book and direction. Though I think red daughter was important to get Kara to her new mindset from her start in the new fifty two. It has made sense progression wise. I like that we are seeing how Maxima might end up with her pre fifty two motivations rather than her already obsession post crisis. They are giving those motivations a back story so she now has layers. One thing that has bugged me the whole time with new fifty two Kara is her relationship with Superman. I cannot tell how she actually feels about him. Likes, hates. I wish we could get a one or two issue story just the two of them so they can finally define it and create a status quo for them. I miss their closeness from pre new fifty two but hopefully we will get there. I just miss the Superman family being close and able to count on each other when it counts
