Default Red Hood & The Outlaws #37 Preview/Discussion

    http://www.comicosity.com/exclusive-...he-outlaws-37/

It seems will be sort of a breather issue. I really enjoy Lobdell's Roy so I'm perfectly fine with that. Lobdell definitely reads the forums since that bit about "right, I'm just narrating" is a pretty great stab at the complaints about his "overuse" of thought boxes, he's the best.

Roy's fine (only lost the tats), and his interactions with Ollie are golden. is gonna be interesting to compare this issue with issue 18 (where Bruce and Jason mend their realtionship). Really looking forward for this issue.

Too bad he didn't fix his thought box usage though. All the sudden stops and snark just doesn't read that well. Also super genius Roy still feels off, haha. At least the art and tone are miles better here than the previous arc.

Love this title. Hope it don't change too much after Convergence.

I will be legitimately shocked if it exists post-convergence.

After months of turmoil, Red Hood, Starfire, and Arsenal are facing their inner demons! But what they find could lead to the end of their partnership – especially if Blackfire kills them first!

It survives for now, but will likely turn into a Jason solo after Convergence.

Or it will have new Outlaws, who's to say?

    I loved this issue.

Lobdell keeps challenging expectatives and this issue is the absolute opposite of issue 18. While there was all about mending Jason and Bruce relationship, this was all about making clear that Ollie and Roy relationship is broken beyond repair but because Roy wants it like that. There is a small reference to Roy's past with the Navajo that guess a lot of people will find interesting but I believe the most important thing is the wy whis story showed how broken Roy is and why he clings to Jason and Kori.

I'm also glad that Lobdell retconned Tynion's work with Roy and Ollie by showing events completely diferent to those depicted on the annual (mainly that Roy became Arsenal out of spite). All in all, a fantatsic issue that is a treat for Roy fans and that it leaves the storyon a point where anything can happens (now I'm not so sure that Roy will leave the team)

Roy: "The difference between you and me? I can always quit drinking, you're always going to be you".

That was enough to make me love this issue.

Sometimes you finish a book and just say wow. This was one of those books.

"Part of me wishes this store ended in a hug. Two old friends putting their past behind them. But that not real life. Sometimes real life is dumb. Sometimes it's about holding onto the past. Sometimes it's easier to say "Good-bye" than it is to say "I'm sorry"."

Finally a good issue, interesting relationship between Ollie and Roy.
Even though it was only a Roy issue, that's the way you can build a solid team. Showing the personality of a charcter and explaining the reasons that bring him to belong to a team. Roy needs his friends who are truly honest with him (not like Ollie did).
I hope this book won't become a more Jason centred on, on the contrary i'd like some new adds.
I'd appreciate a Jason solo book but not to the detriment of RHATO.
