"Avengers & X-Men: AXIS" #8 nudges the characters forward, but doesn't do much to deepen the legend of this series from Rick Remender and Leinil Francis Yu.

I think issue #7 got 3 stars, but the average rating form cbr has been pretty low.

Honestly, AXIS has been a total mess. It would have been better to let Remender finish his story on the pages of UA and CA, with a smaller cast and more freedom. I have forced myself to buy it because I have loved his UA and CA, but all it was good for was launching tie-ins which I will never never read (hobgoblin? carnage?... seriously?!??!)
Very disappointed!!!

I can't fault CBR on this one. This issue was kind of fight porn with one liners. It has me wondering what they want to accomplish long term with the event? Or will it have one big reset button with no long term consequences not even a Superior Iron Man?
