I just learned that Herbert F. Solow passed away on the 20th at 89. Who is he, you ask? Well, he was a studio executive at Desilu (created by Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball) who pitched a science fiction show to NBC in the mid 1960's that wound up being greenlit and put on the air. Chances are you might have heard of the show Solow pitched....STAR TREK.

RIP, Herbert F. Solow. We have appreciated your contributions to Star Trek. The TV franchise Star Trek couldn't have become successful without you, Gene Roddenberry and Leonard Nimoy.

I understand that Sulu comes from the name Solow.

Yeah, this is such a bummer. As if the whole year didn't stink already.

I've never seen a Star Wars movie but I remember seeing pictures of Prowse in magazines as a kid. He had some amazing biceps.

I know this is sad for the millions of Star Wars fans.

David Prowse died of coronavirus according to his daughter. The family is not allowed to see him, or throw him a funeral due to covid-19 restrictions, which is a shame.

I know she was in many things, but like a lot of people my age, I remember her most from Falcon Crest. I enjoyed her character of Julia Cumson until they made her a murderer. One of many wrong turns that show made over the years it was on.

I'm old. I still think of her as Joey Bishop's "wife".
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
