Actress Joanna Barnes, who is probably best known for playing the wickedly conniving Vicki in the original version of The Parent Trap (starring Hayley Mills) and then appeared in the Lindsay Lohan remake of the film as the mother of the gold-digger, has passed away. She appeared in movies such as The War Wagon, Home Before Dark and Spartacus and had an extensive TV career too.

Jerry VerDorn, who played Ross Marler on Guiding Light (1979 - 2005) and then played Clint Buchannon on One Life to Live (2005 - 2012), has died at age 72 after a battle with cancer.

Daytime soaps have definitely been hit hard in 2022.
