he lived a magnificent live and left behind a great legacy as a great actor and a sci-fi icon. it's shocking to me but............i'm not very sad. i'm just glad to have had mr. spock in my life.

I thought I'd say something about the heat William Shatner has taken over not attending his friend Leonard Nimoy's funeral. He was attending a Red Cross charity event that was scheduled months before and chose to honor it. When questioned by paparazzi he said he mourned for the dead but chose to work for the living. I attended a sci-fi con in my city once where Shatner was booked as the guest of honor but he cancelled on short notice and a lot of people complained. Now he's honored such a booking and still people complain. I think we should leave the man alone- to some he can do no right but I'm sure he is hurting greatly over his friend's death. It would have been the height of egotistical rudeness if he'd chosen to honor the Red Cross event and also insist that Nimoy's family delay the funeral so that he could make it there, but he didn't do that.
Rest in peace Leonard Nimoy- such a huge loss.
