Wow he was in so many things from my childhood into my adulthood. RIP

I'll admit that most of his recent roles got on my nerves. But his character of Beverly Leslie - and his back and forth scenes with Karen - were absolutely hilarious.

I remember seeing him on something before Will and Grace but I can't for the life of me remember what it was.

Sad news about his death.

Jules Bass, who along with Arthur Rankin Jr. was behind classic Christmas specials such as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, The Year Without a Santa Claus and Santa Claus Is Coming To Town as a producer and director, has passed away. He also worked on the animated version of The Hobbit and Thundercats as well.

It's kind of interesting that Rankin-Bass's productions are basically American/Japanese co-productions. There's some slight manga-esque aesthetic to them at times, even the old Christmas specials. The cell-animated segment of Ms. Claus's musical number in Santa Claus is Coming To Town looks almost like something Tezuka would do.
