Gail O'Neill, who started out as a fashion model before becoming an original correspondent on CBS' The Early Show as well as hosting shows on CNN and HGTV, has passed away.

Actress Piper Laurie, likely best known for her Oscar-nominated roles in Carrie and Children of a Lesser God as well as The Hustler, has passed away. I'll leave it to you to look her extensive list of credits but over the course of her career she was nominated for three Oscars and nine Emmys (winning one of those).

And while it is likely not going to be remembered nearly as much as her other roles, I loved her guest appearance on an episode of Frasier. She was freaking hilarious in it!

Shirley Jo Finney, who starred in the TV film Wilma and guest starred on a number of TV shows in the 1970's and 1980s before moving into directing on TV and in the theater, has passed away.
