knew this one was coming for a while, but still stings, hard to fathom Jeopardy without him.
Yeah, very difficult. I imagine Ken Jennings is the successor, since it appears they were grooming him as of late. Still though, it'll never be the same.

It will not be the same. The Price is Right is, I think, a good example of a show living on after the iconic host has passed or retired. It is not impossible, even if Jeopardy was synonymous with Trebek.
I even watched Trebek on Classic Concentration.

Trebek was a T.V. host in Canada before he became known in the States. I remember seeing him in the 1960s, hosting MUSIC HOP and REACH FOR THE TOP. Also a short-lived gameshow called STRATEGY. After his career got going in the U.S, in the 1970s, he returned to Canada to host DEFINITION and HEADLINE HUNTERS and then PITFALL.
Alex Trebek is one Canada's most beloved sons. It's a sad day.
