David Ryall, Elphias Doge in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, as well as appearing in The Village, Outnumbered and many more, has passed away.

He was 71 years old, and Mark Gatiss, a friend, an actor (Sherlock, Game of Thrones etc) broke the news.

A not so present on Christmas Day.

    Sad news. Magnificent achievement.

    May she Rest In Peace.

Same for a stalwart part of Gilmore Girls. Out of interest, was he the patriarch, or Lorelais' father?

Great stuff to have on your belt. I'd say it gave him good reason to get up and go.

Way too young an age to die. Any under 60, really, I think, maybe even then, because I would've lost one of the most caring individuals know, if so.

    May he Rest In Peace.
