If a Shazam series by Johns and Frank was launched at the same time as a Thunderworld series by Morrison and Stewart, which do you think would sell better?

In terms of sales? No question, Johns would do better. Johns is the bigger name right now, Shazam is the current 'real' version of the character, making that book more 'important', and for some reason lots and lots of people don't think the New 52 version of him is just awful, while Morrison's Captain Marvel represents everything that could be good about the old approach that the general readership so very much wants to turn their backs on.
Buh-bye
You already know my answer.
Good Marvel characters- Bring Them Back!!!
I love both versions, so I would definitively get both of them, if DC decides to do one
As for sales, I think Johns' would get more sales, but I am not sure. There are a lot of folks who don't like Johns' version of Cap Marvel.
DC Extended Universe Thread (DCEU)
That's how it starts. The fever. The rage. The feeling of powerlessness. That turns good men....Cruel - Alfred.
This may be the only thing that I do that matters - Bruce.
Stay down, if I wanted it, you would be dead already - Clark.

If you think 'buying beer' to be 'edgey', you need to sincerely re-evaluate your world view.
Morrison for sure. Classic Bill/Captain Marvel is far superior to the Nu52 Asshole version.
It's about what the beer represents: kid uses powers for personal gain vs kid uses powers to help others.

I don't want this thread to turn into attacks on either version of the character. Just which incarnation you think would sell better, and why.

I would definitely buy a Thunderworld series over a Shazam series.
