Sounds pretty good, at least more likable than Ashly (who pretty much gave Kamala her grating Tiny Tina voice from Borderlands).

Ms. Marvel's first animated appearance felt more like the comic book character she is. They did right by her. Can't wait to see her and Carol interact.

Besides being a little whitewashed and kind of whiny, I like the overall character of Ms. Marvel on the show. Seemed like the animation improved as well.

I LOVE the most recent issue! I was firmly on Carol's side before reading it, but I'm not so sure right now because I've known how much Bruno means to her. Kamala will change her mind? I can't wait the next issue!!

In terms of role or position, as Marvel's preeminent young superheroine, her closest counterpart would probably be Supergirl.

Though in terms of overall personality...probably Cassandra Sandsmark (Wonder Girl II). Both are spunky teens who enjoy being Superheroes and idolize their mentors, and also fangirl quite a bit.

Finally saw the Kamala episode of AA, and it was alright. Hoping that come the next season and promotion to main character status, she'll have more opportunities to shine, and probably tone down the selfie stuff a bit.

At least in the comics she doesn't have it as bad as Sunspot when it comes to the whitewashing.
