That deal, signed when Ms Marvel proved a hit four years ago, must've expired and DC offered her a major project. Marvel can be glad they didn't sign her up on a golden handcuffs like Tom King (Vision's writer, now on Batman and Mister Miracle).

*We know for a fact that Kamala is not affected by laws of mass for some reason, and that electromagnetism tens to mess her up. We don't know why yet, but now she's not going to stop until she (and we) know exactly how she works. *Love how Shocker is just so confused about Ms. Marvel, but is willing to take her power malfunctions as a win. *Bruno apparently found an old X-Men help unit in a Goodwill, no doubt being what he'll use to solve Kamala's immediate power problem.

Bruno tried to put an electromagnetic sensor on Kamala so he could better track her body reactions when she shapeshifts, but it apparently interfered with her mental control and it's still messing her up even after removed. So yes, he made it into one.

Wouldn't the logical course of action at this point be for Kamala to call in the Champions? Nadia, Amadeus and Riri could probably brainstorm a solution and make sure Bruno doesn't repeat that mistake. If Bruno fixes this on his own he deserves a place on the top geniuses list!

Kamala clearly says that she doesn't want anybody but Bruno helping her. It's their mess and they have to fix it.
