They both are each other's shelter and quite possessive...at least I'm glad that superman is no longer the boring pushed over passive boy scout and now he is more active instead of reactive, he IS superMAN not superkid.

They are claiming themselves to each other. I remember when Superman was sick because of the kryptonite were planted in his head by the atom. It was infecting his mind and his body. These two are one of the best comic couples I reckon
I like how they have the mutual respect and admiration. They make perfect sense for each other yet still keep it interesting in the situations they get into. I disagree with those who think it diminishes either character; this is a shared universe so everybody gives a nice boost to everybody else when they interact! Two amazing heroes like them deserve somebody strong in both body and mind and so in the end, they are the best choice
