Lightbulb The Jersey Devil (Folklore): Stagecoach

The Jersey Devil is a legendary creature or cryptid said to inhabit the Pine Barrens of Southern New Jersey, United States. The creature is often described as a flying biped with hooves, but there are many different variations. The common description is that of a kangaroo-like creature with the head of a goat, leathery bat-like wings, horns, small arms with clawed hands, cloven hooves and a forked tail. It has been reported to move quickly and often is described as emitting a "blood-curdling scream" (source of information: Wikipedia).

There are many cryptic creatures in folklore --- the Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, the Chupacabra, leprechauns, unicorns, mermaids, and giant snakes.

The Jersey Devil stands out in many ways, since it inhabits American forests and hence reminds people of the general intrigue surrounding 'terrain conquest.'

The Jersey Devil was supposedly born to a human woman named Deborah Leeds who had twelve children and then cursed the 13th child while it was in the womb, and when it was born, the tall tale goes that the deformed and winged offspring jumped down and away from its mother and flew out of the house and never returned but instead prowled the forests of New Jersey and spawned others like it possibly by mating with deer.

Storytelling about the eerie Jersey Devil reveals the human value of relevant terrain-fantasy Hollywood (USA) movies such as "Into the Woods" (2014).

One of my favorite teams named after a cool "legend" that they purposely ignore and refuse to incorporate into their product. It's unfortunate because the NHL has the coolest names/logos in all the major sports.

    Sorry for the rant/off topic.

    Cryptoid Crayon

Has anyone heard of the eerie Ohio Grassman (a cryptic humanoid supposedly stalking the grasslands of Ohio and sometimes attacking people)? That's another cryptoid with a pecuilar name indicating a special curiosity about 'beast branding.'
