    This reminds me of Utnapishtim in the poem Gilgamesh. Especially with all of the rain in issue # 37.

    Utnapishtim, or Utnapishtim, is a character in the epic of Gilgamesh who is tasked by Enki to abandon his worldly possessions and create a giant ship to be called The Preserver of Life. Wikipedia

    maybe Ulysses was named after Utnapishtim.

    You know what would be great? If, just once, Superman would't do the *shocked*! eyes upon hearing he's not human, but instead just kept scowling because he's heard that so many times before.

    Or writers could just keep dropping it like it's a profound beat. Whatever.

    That first page was funny with Ulysses saying to Superman that he wanted no harm to come to him when he had him in that kryptonite holding contraption.
