Default The Christmas Carol Job (A Leverage/Dickens What If)

In the history you know the Victorian businessman Ebenezer Scrooge was a greedy and miserly misanthrope until the intervention of the Three Ghosts of Christmas showed him the error of his ways. Thanks to their ministrations Scrooge turned over a new leaf and became a kind and generous soul.

But there is another timeline where the Ghosts are unavailable to help that Christmas Eve, having been captured by a dark sorcerer in what will ultimately be a futile attempt to steal the Power of Christmas Spirit. Marley, the ghost of Scrooge's partner in life, decides he doesn't want to wait till next year after the Ghosts get free to save his partner's soul, so he uses a combination of his ghostly powers and innate cunning to manipulate events so another group can put forth an effort on the case.

Thanks to his efforts he managed to hire the services of Leverage Consulting and Associates and secure the use of H.G. Wells Time Machine to bring them back to Scrooge's time. Their mission, not only to help the people harmed by Scrooge's skinflint ways, but also by whatever means they can bring about a change in Scrooge's heart. How do they go about the job? What sort of tactics do they use? What complications will they face? Will they succeed, and if so, how?

I, The Watcher, pose this question to you all...

A Christmas Miracle has resurrected this thread just in time for the holidays.

Bonus Question: If the Leverage crew is unavailable how do Michael Westin and friends do in their place?
