So we're about to reach 2015, the middle of this decade, and just to recap what were the best and worst parts of 2014 for you?
For me...
best parts:
-saw wolf of wall street on january first after just rising from the crossover in a billiard room with my friends and family.
-finished watching the Lethal Weapon movies series, online.
-got into the terminator, rocky, rambo, and robocop series.
-saw plenty of great new movies in theatres like lone survivor, son of god, transcendence, maleficent, 22 jump street, expendables 3, night at the museum 3, hunger games, hobbit 3, and others.
-had fun creating A LOT of videos on youtube
-going back to another country in asia to visit family in February and went to see great sights and won some great arcade prizes from a local arcade center.
-visiting my uncle as well as my baby cousins and relatives from arizona.
-made a few new friends at a social program.
-had a relaxing year compared to all the past years where I had take it hard with homework and test pressure in school/college.
-went to a friend's party in March and met his girlfriend and a few other friends.
-passed two A++ tests for my job certificate.
-got into a moment where I was in a halal pizza store in manhattan with another "friend" and then this bum comes in and gets into a racially verbal altercation fight with t
-went to the Sony Wonders Technology lab in March (but that one was okay)
-got some neat McDonald's coupons via my mail.
-went to Six Flags with a group at the end of April.
-went to Coney Island in august.
-went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art twice and the Museum of Natural History just like last year.
-spent Thanksgiving at one of my best friend's house and got to see her cats.
-started going to the gym and a new swimming pool in July.
-started getting acupuncture from July til this week (not sure if this counts as "best", but the fact that I bravely endured it and even sometimes asked for more needles make me feel like a man)
-went to a Greek steakhouse in Astoria for my birthday dinner.
-had my house's living room and hallway repainted and redecorated and got new furniture.
-finally ditched the old Cathode Ray-Tube TV and got a new HDTV.
-went to a homecoming party at my old college as an alumni.
several others i may be forgetting...
worst parts:
-the extreme cold weather in the tri-state area earlier this year.
-my back problems.
-lack of snow this Christmas season just like in 2011 and 2012.
-having to see myself on camera in one of my cousin's home videos of me on my previous trip's with them as far as back as 2009 and 2012.
-no longer having to see my favorite old psychiatrist and his home is actually pretty nice and chilling (and everytime I go there, me and my dad buys home tex-mex for dinner).
-having an argument/fight with a certain member from the rumbles on old CBR after he got mad and salty at me for using a rather strong word with an extremely certain meaning denoting emphasis on how badly the opposition is defeated in a completely trivial context like rumbles threads. i only regret not putting him on my ignore list earlier and saying it right in his face beforehand as a "screw you".
-the whole CBR reboot and seeing all our great old threads and posts spanning 9-10 years that we fondly remembered all go away and i had to spend half of May trying to store even just a portion of my favorite threads (Although I have nothing personal against Jonah, I still can't forgive him or anyone who chose not to make a seperate archive site to preserve all the wonderful old threads for us to enjoy, even if we are understandably starting anew :angry)
-no longer being able to go swimming at YMCA's pool for the summer, due to a certain associated program I go to, cancelling its $5 discount.
-having to deal with a few idiots on another forum.
-seeing my old house get cleaned out (my house hadn't gotten through a change THIS big in like 10+ years).
-having my mother throw away some of the oldest things in our house we've cherished like a giant chinese fan and my living room's coffee table.
-having to deal with a roach infestation problem in my apartment coming from another "suspicious" neighbor's house.
-not being able to win a Nintendo 3DS in the Key Machine game at Coney Island's arcade center (well granted not many people could win much prizes, let alone the best ones).
-hearing that one of my aunts overseas has died in China and that my father had to go back to the "old country" for two weeks to accompany my sad grandparents.
-though this is not of my personal life, but seeing Robin Williams die this year.
-my father getting into a car accident.
and several others i may be forgetting...
