Create your own Power Rangers/Super Sentai show!

Inspired by History of Power Rangers, what if Saban/Disney/Whoever, opted you to be the general writer/concept person for the next series of Power Rangers/Super Sentai. You can either go from scratch, or readapt an existing show (as Rangers does with Sentai). Do what you like with it, but the powers that be decree that the show must have at least a few of the core staples of the Ranger/Sentai series: teen heroes, a mentor, a comic relief character, a bad guy who sends down monsters, a "Sixth Ranger" (or three), and of course, transforming/combining robots!

What themes do you use? What are the main characters? Do they have "civilian powers" or just martial arts? What are the monsters and robots like? Etc. Go to town!

I had a concept for something like this once, but I never developed it out. The team was called the Ultra Berets and each one had a unique melee, and if I remember right a ranged weapon, and had powers related to a specific element(I think there were five, one for air, one for earth, one for water, one for fire and one for electricity). They also each had a specific vehicle, like the one with earth had a tunneling vehicle with a big drillhead on the front. It was just a sketch that I drew and never really developed much beyond that.

LOL I'll go with Emo Rangers Mutliverse and smash a few series together: Elfen Lied, Air, Kanon and have a slew of guest stars every third episode who will add to the emo-ness. Their main enemy shall be RAOH, who is trying to rid the world of self-loathing through personal empowerment, strength, and MANLINESS. And the rangers' goal? TO PROTECT THEIR RIGHT TO BE EMO! Against an army of STRENGTH and people who JUST DON'T CARE. YES! They will fight for their right to be emo against the likes of Kazuma the Treasoner, Ghost Gunnery Sergeant Hartman, Mohammed Ali, Ultimate Warrior, and an endless stream of people whose goal is to SNAP THEM OUT OF THEIR EMONESS!

Red: a RDJ Tony Stark type,who leads. Has a bus sized leopard mecha with a chaingun on its left shoulder.

Blue: a logical Sherlock Holmes type flies a helicopter sized mantis mecha that can cloak, and has laser chainsaws on its claws, as well as fly at helicopter speeds

Yellow: a Gwen Stacy (movie) type character who pilots a bulldozer sized scorpion mechs that can burrow has two machine guns in its claws and a laser in its tail

Purple: a Samuel L Jackson type character who has a terror bird mechs that is about ten feet tall and has a flame thrower in its beak

Green: a Hiro (heroes) type character who has an Orangutan type
mech that has a rocket launcher on its left arm and is about 12 feet tall

Orange: a funny Maori girl who has a warthog type mech that has a grenade launcher in its mouth. It is about the size of a bus

Indigo: an Indian girl who is very serious, and tactical who has and anklyosaurus mechs the size of a dump truck that has a motar on its back

Pink: a no nonsense Russian guy whose elephant mecha is the size of a two story house and fires acid from its trunk.

Black: a Greek girl who has a troubled past and a bull frog mech the size of a SUV , with a large high powered rifle cannon and a grappling hook tongue

White: a fun loving girl from Ecuador that has an Albatross mecha the size of a small jet that can drop small bombs

Grey: a geeky girl from Norway with a centipede mecha as long as three sub way cars with 8 auto shotguns on the front four legs

I created a PR team that had a Cowboy/Indian theme. They received their powers from their spirit animals (cougar, bear, coyote, fox and hawk with eagle and buffalo joining later on). They each had a specialized weapon and vehicle/zord and fought off invaders from an alien dimension.

Ryuu Sentai KashiRanger/Power Rangers Dragon's Fire

Fifteen Hundred Years ago, The Great Dragon war raged. On one side there was The Fallen Dragon, His general Niddhogg and Apophis, and their army of mythical monsters (based off famous Greek, Norse and Japanese monsters). On the Other, The Dragon King Quetzal, his sons Kaos and Harmony and his 7 Dragon Riders. The Fallen was defeated and sealed, but at the cost of the Dragon Riders lives. Quetzal sealed the dragons away until the day they were needed again. Now, the Fallen Dragon has risen again, and the new Dragon rangers must stop him, or it's the end of the world.

Red: Ryuuji Amanio/Drake Johnson The Red Dragon of the Flames. With Blazing Courage, this leader is ready to take on evil. Hotheaded and a little rough around the edges, he still has a heart of gold. But hurt his friends and he'll cut you down with his Blazing Blade! His Dragon is an English Drake

Blue: Toya Katsuchi/Michael James "MJ" Murphy. The Blue Dragon of the Waves. A serious minded perfectionist. He's the second in command and team strategist. His Flowing Adaptability allows him to adapt to whatever situation he's in, bringing new meaning to the term "Be like water." He slices enemies with his Wave Striker daggers. His Dragon is a Japanese ryuu

Green: Atsuma Katsuchi/ Jesse James "JJ" Murphy. The Green Dragon of the Earth. He's the wide eyed idealist and heavy muscle of the group, and Blue's little brother. With Solid Determination, he never gives up and never stays down. He'll drop the hammer on you with his Terra Firma. His Dragon is a Gyo, a Vietnamese hill dragon.

Pink: Karin Ryuugami/ Jade Nocturne. The Pink Dragon of the Wind. A Delinquent/ Punk with temper issues. She's the speed fighter of the group. With her Howling Ferocity, she can be everywhere at once, attacking whole scores of enemies like an unleashed wild Cat. Her Storm Caller staff really sticks it to you. Her Dragon is a Wyvern.

Yellow: Ami Stansfield/Angel Free The Yellow Dragon of the Lightning. The super smart inventor of the group, Yellow is still a ferocious fighter. With her Electrifying Cunning, she outwits her opponents. But when push comes to shove, Her Lightning Spear gets her point across just as quickly. Her Dragon is a Chinese Long.

White: Sora Miyami/Ailey Jones: The White Dragon of the Light, she was turned back to the side of good by the other rangers. Bright eyed, fun loving and battle ready, her Shining Hope allows her to carry on even in the darkest days. Her Tofa Blasters will light her enemies up! Her Dragon is a khem.

Black:Jinn Miyami/ Duncan Jones The Black Dragon of the Shadow. Black is shy to the point of being Anti-social, but he hides it under a mask of aloofness and stoicness. He's White's twin brother and a force to be reckoned with. His Dark Justice keeps his heart focused only on what's right. Watch your head around his Shadow Scythe

TheSentaiRider has come up with three series, but his reddit article explained one of them: Kaiyo Sentai Mizuranger. It has a water animal motif. And I come up with a compelling story.
Story
Most people consider gold, silver and jewels treasure. The fabled People of the Water claimed that the Super Sentai are treasure known to them as Sentai Miracles. Each Sentai is a type of "Miracle" Treasure. Example is Battle Fever, a "World Miracle". Sadly, Tokyo-to, known to the mortals who lives there as Japan, becomes a Target of the Kaijin Pirate Dreadnought Brigade, a band of evil Space Pirates who have come to claim the "Miracles". Five Mizurangers are selected to defeat this threat.

Blazing-Wheeled Squadron Acceleranger, a.k.a. Power Rangers Hot Pursuit

The motif for this Sentai/Ranger team is motorcycles and speed. The speed comes from invaders from a hyper-accelerated dimension parallel to this one, whose main purpose seems to be wreaking utter havoc on the world at hypervelocity. Developing devices and vehicles that can also tap into a new level of speed called "hypervelocity," a scientist who discovered (and may have accidentally unleashed) the literal speed demons gives those devices and vehicles to a trio of motorcycle street racers --- theorizing that their bodies, which are already accustomed to moving at high speeds, will be able to handle hypervelocity more easily compared to others --- who become the Accelerangers/Hot Pursuit Power Rangers, armored in special suits that enable them to move in hypervelocity as well.

The trio's individual colors are Red, Black, and Yellow and their vehicles are patterned after the fastest animals in the sky, in the sea, and on land, Red being the peregrine falcon (sky), Black being the marlin (sea), and Yellow being the cheetah (land). Later on, the same scientist recruits two more Accelerangers/Hot Pursuit Rangers, who are the initial trio's rivals in motorcycle street racing and their vehicles are patterned after a horsefly (Blue) and a tiger beetle (White), two of the fastest insects on Earth. Even later than that, a Sixth Ranger colored black-and-white with red and blue lightning bolts framing his visor and separating the black and white parts of his armor shows up with his own hypervelocity-based arsenal, and he happens to be pursuing both the speed demons and the Accelerangers/Hot Pursuit Rangers, as the latter are known illegal street racers in their civilian lives.

The changers/morphers used by the Accelerangers/Hot Pursuit Rangers are called Throttle Blazers/Pursuit Morphers, wrist-mounted devices composed of a motorcycle throttle connected to a speedometer, the users twisting the throttle portion to activate their transformation/morphing sequences, with the speedometer measuring their shift into hypervelocity. The throttles can also be detached from the speedometer and wielded as hilts of extendable laser blades or whips for melee combat, or even ziplines for quick getaways or lariats to temporarily bind opponents, as well as attached to gun barrels to form laser pistols for ranged combat. When transformed/morphed, their Ranger armors resemble motorcycle racing suits in their individual colors, along with helmets with opaque visors framed by dual lightning bolts.

Their mechs/Zords are designed with their motorcycles serving as piloting pods --- Red Falcon PV (Pursuit Vehicle), Black Marlin PV, and Yellow Cheetah PV combine to form the initial PV Robo/Pursuit Megazord, while Blue Fly PV and White Beetle PV form a secondary robot/Megazord called the Pivot Robo/Blitz Megazord that later combines with PV Robo/Pursuit Megazord to form the PVP Robo/Hot Pursuit Megazord. The Sixth Ranger, known as Accel Chaser/Ranger Chaser, uses the Throttle Chaser/Chaser Morpher to change/morph and is a bounty hunter with his own PV Chaser, designed after a motorcycle as well, able to transform into a humanoid mech, and even --- once Chaser allies with the other Rangers --- combine with the PVP Robo/Hot Pursuit Megazord to form the PVC Robo/Hyper Pursuit Megazord.

Green Salad- A fitness instructor who wants to spread his message of good well being across the land! He pilots the Cabbage Catapulton and knocks enemies out cold with the Onion Ringer!

Smoothie Pink- The cool-headed owner of a popular smoothie chain! She laughs at all times, even in the face of all danger! She pilots the Tart Tanker and never missed a shot with the Smooth Snipe!e

Together with their individual Meal Machines, they can form the invicible GOURMET-OH!

Silver Ware The self proclaimed King of Cutlery from a distant galaxy. His world was ravaged by the devourers of worlds, and now he is consumed by revenge! He pilots the Saint Silver and world's both the mighty Photon Fork and Saturnite Spoon!

Gold Gourmand- The spirit of the Earth herself! I'm times of great need, she comes to aid the squad! She herself becomes a mighty machine known as Buffetzeir and utilizes the mythical Full Coursabre!
