Pre Schism/Post Schism

I just read X-Men: Schism, and it was alright. I'm glad I read it. It made me want to read about things pre-Schism.

Like How did Jean Grey died
Where was Xavier during Schism?
What happened to the school?
Magneto and Rogue were together?
The Messiah Hope was referring to was the Messiah Complex story, right?
Schism was after M-Day and House of M?

On the flip side, it was cool to see seeds being planted for everything after Schism. Specifically Colossus, Illyana, Namor, Emma, Hope and Magneto siding with Cyclops - as they were some of the main characters of Avengers vs X-Men.


So, can anyone help me out with some books, and stories to read to from the 2000's for X-Men leading up to Schism, and any thing worth reading after Schism?

X-Men Legacy #208-260 --> This covers most of Xavier's development during this time along with Rogue and Magneto

There are crossovers during the last two runs but following the numbering will lead you to them. They include: Utopia, Necrosha, Second Coming, and Age of X.


Also Kyle and Yost's X-Force (#1-28) fills in more details between Messiah Complex and Second Coming.
