Lack of females is for the upcoming Justice League Movies is embarrassing

I'm not sure why people are acting like the Justice League movie can't have more than one female Leaguer and be a good/successful movie. The franchise can have a solid start and feature multiple female superheroes too.

For the record, that's not what I'm saying. I have personally stated here in the past that there's no reason why they can't have more than 7 founding members if need be for the first film,

I'm holding out hope that we will get Hawkgirl in the near future, although Black Canary would probably be easier to introduce. Either of those two would be nice additions though. Keep in mind Supergirl is also out there as well so she can appear as well. Zatanna has JLD and if rumors are correct Vixen has the Suicide Squad (i think). If the Green Lantern franchise does well then we will eventually get Jessica Cruz likewise for the Aquaman franchise and Mera. Thats 7 females with strong possibilities of showing up, just be patient and let Wonder Woman kick butt first!

Now we need more Latinos and Asians up in there.

dc shouldn't have to pander to fulfill some arbitrary, progressive quota. it was obvious they were going to go for the classic jl line-up and that direction is completely valid. the only responsibility dc has is to portray its female characters with the same attention and care as they do their other characters. there's always new opportunities to diversify, but diversity for the sake of diversity isn't the best or most creative way to do it.

While I agree that the currently proposed League sounds terribly out of balance when it come to genders, at the same time I am going to recognize that this group got together in this fashion and became massively popular anyways and somewhere that ought to be respected.

Bottom line is that it's like complaining over a movie made over One Direction, Westlife or the Backstreet Boys only feature white dudes as members of the band.

I could go for adding Vixen, Hawkwoman, Black Canary and Zatanna to the initial JL line up. Seems like we'll be getting plenty of cameos in BvS, so maybe this is the plan once the Justice League movie gels. It'll focus on the cameo characters in BvS and then add new characters in the JL movie.

Someone in this thread bought up the idea of Vixen and Black Canary movies. Which is interesting because neither character has been able to stand on their own. But with intriguing story lines anything is possible.

Yep its really annoying 90mins into movie characters are just being introduced only to be dealt with in 20 like Venom.
