It just occurred to me recently that I never created a thread on the comic book forum where I let people know when I update our comic-book-focused podcast.

The format is pretty simple: We're basically like any a book club. Only instead of reading whatever Oprah tells us to we instead read a bad comic, meet up, and then discuss it. Occasionally we are going to do movies too (I believe the first one up is Shaq's Steel), but it's almost always going to be comic books.

And since some people are going to read this message, say "meh," and not listen then let me give this one piece of info that I want any true comic nerd to know: NFL Super Pro is worth every cent and it breaks my heart that we are almost 75% of the way through that series. We're genuinely trying to figure out a pitch document to Marvel to restart it because we love it so much. So, even if you never listen to us, we've put in enough time to tell you that it's one of the best series ever.

On the other hand, Superman's Girlfriend Lois Lane has not aged well and *should* be the episode of next week. This week is more of a wrap-up of best Super Hero movies, so the format isn't exactly what it normally is.

I'm a fan of thinking I'm not very smart, so if you have any suggestions of what you think would work then let us know. I believe on the current docket is:

- Finishing Super Pro
- The 1994 Fantastic Four Movie
- WWE Comics 5-8
- The Death of Superman (yes, I think these comic books are bad and I'll fight any man who thinks differently)
- Marville
- U.S.

That should be getting us through the next 3-4 months, but we're willing to give almost anything a shot.

We have another brand-new episode up for the week. We decided to start the year with a bang by doing Superman's Girl Friend Lois Lane #10. Written in 1959, SGFLL is basically the HIMYM of the comic world. Apparently, there are 140-something issues of these things and they about as offensive as you'd expect.

Lois wakes up to find wrinkles on her face, coincidentally goes to a lab for a report (where they are using a ray gun that reverses aging), uses it to shoot herself in the face, she proceeds to age down, and hijinks ensue.

It's everything comics should aspire to be.
