Yeah I gotta be honest, because I have never read any Spider-Man book or storyline before, Spider-Verse is really exciting for me. So I have no comparisons to make either. It's because of ASM#7, AKA the Kamala team-up, that I got into this to begin with.

i know **** went down last issue but wow. i never thought they'd start the porn already but now we have 2 spider-men dead in brutal ways. this is just pretty sloppy handling of the preview if you ask me.

i will admit this is a better written event. at least the tie ins to AXIS are good and at least spiderman FINALLY had a part in the event. i'm just surprised sabretooth turned good and carnage for once seems to have a better voice. it's also astounding that they've used the sin eater again since the death of jean dewolff.

Yeah. This is kind of ridiculous. Waiting for the collection but if the Inheritors can so easily defeat Cosmic Spider then the good guys really don't really have much of a prayer.

Pure speculation but I do wonder if Benjy is going to be the Franklin Richards of this story.

as for the inheritors, they’re not exactly psychologically fascinating antagonists, but as someone else here pointed out…their narrative function is “the monster”. and sometimes the big bad wolf is just what he is and he’s gonna eat granma.
Warrior is such a good movie.

Okay, I realize that this is only just two pages of the comic, but already I'm afraid I'm going to have to nitpick it because wow! there's some blatant and glaring inconsistencies between what I presume are the first two pages of ASM #13 and the last few pages from ASM #12.

    1. Spider-Punk declares "Holy #@$*! He just killed that Captain Universe Guy! We are so screwed!" First of all, Solus didn't literally just kill him. In ASM #12, all the spiders watched as Solus killed Cosmic Spidey and then, based on how Slott wrote it, the spiders reacted and despaired over how their most powerful member was killed, to the point where Copiel's artwork made it look like they had given up and were walking away from the scene. Yet here, the dialogue is written, and the scene is illustrated, as if Solus just killed Cosmic Spidey.

    2. "Morlun, you have him? The youngest totem?" Yes, Solus, Morlun does have the Scion...just like he openly declared out loud to and everyone within earshot last issue as he held lil' Benjy aloft as though he were He-Man lifting up his magic sword and declaring "I HAVE THE POWER!" But even baring that, you can totally see that he does because...he's standing directly in front of you. And how did Morlun get Benjy in his possession? Well, that leads to...

    3. Because we saw in ASM #12, Mayday was holding Benjy in her arms when, after Solus killed Cosmic Spidey, Morlun just casually strolled up to Mayday, slapped her across the face, then took Benjy out of her hands. However, even though this opening apparently taking place immediately after the conclusion of last issue, Mayday gets back on her feet, put her mask back on, and moved at least a yard or two away from Morlun. And then she gets backhanded again when she tries to stop Morlun from teleporting away with her brother.

I guess we can all chalk this up to the Master Weaver messing about with time again like he did for the Spider-Man Newspaper Strip.

Also, I realize that when Spidey had the power of the Enigma Force he called himself Captain Universe but how does Spider-Punk know this when 1. Spider-Punk was part of SpOck's crew and thus only just encountered Cosmic Spidey not that long ago, 2. Cosmic Spidey not once during "Spider-Verse" ever refereed to himself as Captain Universe, and 3. We're not even sure if Spider-Punk is even an alternate version of Peter Parker with a similar history to the 616 Spidey, since SpOck, in ASM #10, calls Spider-Punk "Brown."

Like I said, nitpicks, which may or may not affect the overall quality of the final product, but ones which really stood out.

Clearly Spider-Punk read about him in a What If comic based on his career back in his own world.

I don't see why it's implausible that he'd know who Captain Universe is - after all, on Earth-616, Captain Universe is an Avenger. No reason why the Uni-Power wielder wouldn't be as prominent in Spider-Punk's universe.

Aha! So Spider-Punk is to Barry Allen what Peter Parker is to Jay Garrick.

Oh yeah, I forgot there have been different hosts for the Enigma Force over the years.

I know Dan made a thread about fiction but screw it.

The Other was once MC2 Peter and the Bride was MC2 MJ originally. Benjy is the product of a stealth bonding between these two forces. However since they probably would not want the secret weapon discovered they would hop to the next reality. In this case ending up on 616. Peter loses the other to Kaine and Silk has no way of getting to him. Doesn't matter though because this secret weapon in the form of the scion would be allowed to grow up and defeat the Inheritors once the Great hunt began.

Kaine hasn't been hiding his Other form and powers and Silk is freed by Peter and this catches the Inheritors attention who begin the hunt early thanks to the incursions weakening the walls between worlds. This screws The other and the Brides plans and the secret weapon is taken by the Inheritors.

Now known as Karn the Inheritors take him to capture the Master Weaver and Solus orchestrates his banishment. Sending the super weapon The other and the Bride created after the surviving spiders.

And while I am most likely wrong I find it interesting my theory from awhile back is suddenly becoming more and more valid.
    Still I'm likely wrong.
