It's not really the artwork it's more Squirrel Girls face that needs to be changed.

I was already mildly curious (blame the $3.99 cover price for the mildly), but this reads even better than I could have hoped. I'm also okay that Doreen looks different, and yes there ARE people with piggish noses and big buck teeth.

... this is apparently supposed to be "cartoony" art-- and it looks as if Lena Dunham is the model for Doreen. Interesting. At least they cleared up the "where is her tail?!?" issue.

It looks like the artist gave her face similar proportions to the squirrel's face. It's most apparent in the side-by-side profiles on preview page 4. That's new. I can't say she ever had animal facial features before.
