365 Days with Namor, Day 9
“This Collar is Killing Me!“
The sequel to Day 7, where Namor takes Namora out for dinner and dancing.
Also, proof Namor doesn’t like having his neck covered up. ;p
Though he certainly dresses up nicely in a white dinner suit.

Ah, yes--the STARBLAST crossover...one of the weirdest crossovers I've ever encountered. A central STARBLAST miniseries, and then crossover tie-ins with QUASAR, NAMOR, FANTASTIC FOUR and SECRET DEFENDERS. But the NAMOR and FF chapters were off doing their own thing and never directly impacted anything going on in STARBLAST or QUASAR...and the SECRET DEFENDERS issues seemed to be almost entirely off on their own, almost completely irrelevant to the rest of the story. So weird.

This is probably why I only read the Namor comic of this 'crossover.'
I think this was one of those 90s things, where they were trying all sorts of things, sort of pro-event, somewhat connected story lines. They had a couple that just ran through the annuals, without really messing with the regular books. I wish they'd do more of that for modern events, but it would defeat the purpose of an event, i.e. sales, I suppose.

Thank God this pin up page didn't come with a soundtrack.

That's got to be a Jack Kirby pin up but what comic is that from? If it's not him, then someone is doing a good job of mimicking his style.
