They were great! Some of my earliest FF books. They were full of melodrama and soap opera, because of Reed putting Franklin in a coma! I think it worked out great to have Namor, and the Inhumans, come together to help resolve that family drama.
Namor the Sub-Mariner, Marvel's oldest character, will have been published for 85 years in 2024. So where's my GOOD Namor anniversary ongoing, Marvel?

365 Days with Namor, Day 6

“This is no time for questions, stupid!”

In Atlantis, there are no stupid questions, just stupid questioners.

Also, it was Namor’s Personal Water Sprinkler System that happened here, NOT … something else.

It's good to see you again, Dermie!

Exactly! Too much clothing IS unnatural for the Prince.

It must be after. I'm not sure why Byrne had Namor lose them in that toxic sludge monster attack.

I think it was after, and I think the reason behind that was Bryne didn't know what to do with a man who could fly without help (edit: without help from like a machine I meant). lol. Also I'm loving these posts and I haven't read that avengers issue yet but I will! Thanks!

I don't know ... I need to re-read that run. I'm thinking maybe he wanted to draw Namor with socks. He sure liked drawing Namor with clothes. Of course, those clothes did get shredded alot. Hmmmm.

Glad you are enjoying them. I've always like digging up stuff for Namor, and after the hiatus, it's fun again. Now to get my images organized and hosted elsewhere. Shakes fist at Photobucket.

I've made it for a WHOLE week! Yes, I'm patting myself on the back. ;p

That's one thing I like in his newest costume (at least SOME versions of it, depending on how is drawing it)--that it exposes more skin again by just having a fishnet (ha!) material down the sides of his legs. It seems a nice compromise between Marvel's intent in recent years to have him wearing more than just a speedo, but also capturing some of the spirit of that look by showing off some more skin.

Unfortunately some other artists draw the pants as covering everything, and replace the fishnet section with some other textured fabric...and that version just looks awful, imo.
