Are we talking the Golden Age hero The Fin, or Namor's fin-headed ensemble woven out of pure fabulousness? Because both are rather cracktastic in their own ways....

Indeed. But the red speedo is still odd looking too.

Hmmm. Just realized that Namor and Herc both tend to wear green as their signature colour of their (limited) wardrobe...how cute, they match!

Sadly, I don't think the boys have yet posed for their next cover where they finally get their Greco-Roman wrestling routine quite right.

Herc has been boning up on it though...he was appropriately attired when he was a guest instructor at Avengers Academy for their phys ed class.

Namor as Dorothy...with Beast as the not-so-cowardly-but-rather-mouthy Lion; the Gargoyle would make an effective scarecrow; and Valkyrie as the tin-bra?

IIRC during the pre-marvel Bill Everett days, did'nt Namor have a new costume every odd issue or two?
i'd LOVE to see that in his next solo series
What we used to call life has very little worth these days. Welcome to the very edge.

Everett's other aquatic character is fun, but THE Fin will always be Namor's fabulous ensemble for me.

Yes, I don't like to think about Dorma's wedding.

That was a wonderful scene! Sadly, I don't think we'll see an ... authentic Greco-Roman wrestling between Namor and Herc on a Marvel book. Although, I just remembered another cover with them, and I missed the opportunity to post it today. Ah well, there's always next week.

Interesting point, since green tends to end up on villains a lot at Marvel.

Namor wore a variety of clothes (and some strange ones) in the Golden Age, but I think the swimming trunks were his regular costume.

365 Days with Namor, Day 139

""The life of a police woman's boy friend is a hard one!"
So, at some point Betty Dean moved out of the friend zone.

I don't think any woman is ever in the JUST friends zone with Namor...his quote to Betty in the other scan is that he "doesn't get mixed up with any one girl". The Royal Eel cannot be caged!

I think someone gave Namor a facelift before he and Betty Dean went for their date. lol

LOL! As long as it isn't a Royal ELECTRIC Eel.

I suspect you are indeed correct. Or more like Namor believes in friendship ... with benefits.
