I'm glad Harley Quinn got a mention.
"When two of Manara's subsequent variant covers were pulled from the schedule a month later, many outlets assumed it was a move made in response to the "Spider-Woman" controversy."
CBR did seem to imply that, yes...

We did not. We reported that the covers were delayed (http://www.comicbookresources.com/?p...ticle&id=55731) and noted that it was a month after another Manara variant cover drew controversy, as that was timely and relevant information -- but did not suggest a link between the two. In fact, we included a lengthy quote from a previous Axel Alonso interview, specifically stating that Manara was still producing covers for Marvel.
We reached out to Marvel for clarification, talked to Alonso and then posted a follow-up with a full explanation of the cause of the cancellations (http://www.comicbookresources.com/?p...ticle&id=55771).
I'm surprised Comixology dropping in-app purchases didn't get a mention. It certainly impacted my buying behavior, but maybe digital is still niche.
I feel like the Batman TV Series finally being released deserves some mention. After decades of anticipation, it almost reached mythic status in that no one seemed to think it'd ever become available, legitimately. Dare I say it's more deserving of a spot on the list than Marvel or DC's upcoming film slates, because, as exciting as they are, as of 2014, they're just titles and release dates.
