Marvel Releases "Ant-Sized" "Ant-Man" Teaser Trailer

Glad I'm not alone on that then, what with the delays last year and my discovery that they heavily edit the transmitted episodes, this is the latest shaw to break the camel's back. My terror is that with Amazon Prime having somehow scooped up Agents of SHIELD Season 1 - despite Netflix dealings with Marvel and owning the rights to show on demand several MCU movies in the UK - that they'll do the same with Agent Carter, maybe akin to what they do with Constantine. And I find AP far too inferior in quality to Netflix to bother signing up with them again.

I know. I didn't like the sly method they used to try to sell AP to me either. As soon as I free up some cash I'm getting Season One on DVD. Haven't even seen Constantine.

I don't care the slightest in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - even the flashback episodes with Peggy in them - but Agent Carter the series is the thing I've been hyped for this year.

Oh, I do like AOS. Bit underwhelmed by the mid-season finale though, I must admit.

I am eating up Constantine. Of course that's partly because I've spent the last year or so working through the Delano and Ennis runs on the title, so I get a lot of the references. But if you want a supernatural British guy in America with the occasional Sex Pistols riff, then it's awesome.

I think the benefit of Agent Carter is it's going to seem a little more unique and more cinematic. "Contemporary secret agents find out alien stuff is going on" (alien as in all meanings of the word) is more of a rote, TV style "adversary/case of the week" than "badass secret agent from that awesome Captain America film crafts an organisation's legacy for the future" - along with the historical setting and shorter season - suggest something with, though less content, more depth. With 20+ episodes and an ongoing Deathlok storyline, I think the problem with Agents is there's just too much of it when Marvel wants you to tune in pretty much every week besides holidays.

Watching this only serves to remind me how much Channel 4 is shafting UK Marvel fans since there's STILL no way of knowing when Agent Carter is coming to the UK, much less getting an Ant Man teaser.

Still, awesome to know it won't be long now! Might be miffed Pym and Jan won't be the focus and that Cassie isn't going to be much of a factor from the sound of it but it does sound like they're gonna do the character good work otherwise.

Yeah, that pisses me off as well. Even if they stuck Agent Carter on something like E4 surely it would do better than some of the rubbish they put on there or endless Big Bang repeats. Been waiting on news about Agent Carter over here since it was announced.

At least the trailer will be on the internet within minutes.

It's not clear right now, but Channel 4 really mess about with AOS with sticking it in ill placed time slots with apparent heavy editing - though I only learnt this recently.

I also gather (though I haven't seen the unedited versions) that because of one large edit in one episode a character was injured and it was never explained why because the scene of them getting hurt was cut.

Do Channel 4 have the rights to Agent Carter as well?

I don't rightly know! Checked Geek Town.uk, believe it is, and has no UK broadcaster listed for Agent Carter. Sure, the episodes'll be online eventually, and see little reason, if they could manage AOS, they couldn't air Agent Carter.

And, the teader trailer'll hit the web LIKE THAT, so no worries, but, least Channel 4 and E4 have AOS, so that's something.
