I love Ex Machina , got all 5 HCs! One of my favourite series, anything like that I would be interested in.

    Read:

    Global Frequency TPB
    Snyder Batman v1
Rest of Fear Agent Library v1 and v2

40 issues, there was a lot of Fear Agent backups so I'd say another 2 issues worth, gives a nice 42.

    215 issues so far.

So I decided each Tintin is 2 issues. I also read the almost 50 pages long Sculptor which I think is aproximately 15 issues. So:
Time and the batman: 4 issues
    Batman INC (n52): 14 issues
Tintin: Secret of the unicorn, The seven crystal balls, Prisoners of the Sun: 6 issues
    The Scultpor: 15 issues

    that's 40.
    Total: 81
I have to read more (fortunately I just ordered a big pile of books)

How did you like Tintin? I'm curious to see what a non-nostalgic person thinks of it

So far The Secret of the unicorn is my favourite. Tight plot, nice twists and suspenseful action. Of course it's all ages stuff but I can appreciate the humor even when I'm not laughing at it. Tintin in Tibet was the first one I've read and while I liked it I had to get used to the tone. That one didn't have very tight plot, the heroes were just wondering around, try to save their friend without hope and stuff happens to them...and a lot of gags. First it was distracting but I just had to get used to it.
I absolutely love the art and the storytelling, clean and elegant.
The whole thing is like classic Doctor Who to me. I know if I just keep reading (like I kept watching classic DW) I'm gonna like it more and more (and so far the method works). Also, I'm a tiny bit nostalgic because I remember watching the cartoon when I was very young (don't remember any details just the fact that I liked it)

    If you read Uncanny X-Men #1-600 + X-Men (Legacy) #1-300, + X-Treme X-Men #1-46 + Astonishing X-Men #1-68, that'll go above your goal.

Funnily enough, it technically wouldn't, because X-Men (Vol 1) 67-93 were reprints and not original stories in their own right. (600-27)+300+46+68 is 987.

    But add All-New X-Men 1-41 and you're golden

Haven't read a comic in over a week.

But I've been ordering them and flipping them and made some useful cash...

My 'to read' box is now overflowing
    Kings 21:23
And of Jezebel also spake the LORD, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.

I personally dont understand this approach to reading comics..or just reading in general for that matter (mainly pertaining to fiction). I need time to soak in the artwork and nuances of the story telling. I can't imagine say breezing through something like Watchmen...where lingering on a panel in the context of its caption or words brings out the books depth. I need my imagination stimulated and going through things quickly is just a giant information dump where nothing gets truly retained efficiently.
