    So far I have read:
With a lot going on in my life, I'm not sure if I'll reach 1,000 this year or not, especially since I really take time off from reading comics in the summer, but I will try. So far, iirc, I have read the following (not in order, though):
*three Teen Titans silver age issues
*Silver Surfer (Stan Lee and Buscema) #1-6 (all of the volume 1 MMW of Silver Surfer, so that includes a Lee and Kirby issue and an origins parody, which: LOVE)
*Swamp Thing, first appearance in The House of Secrets, and Swamp Thing #1 and #2
*And about 6 stories from the Richard Corben Creepy book
*Another two stories from the Corben Creepy book
    *Silver Surfer #7
    *Tales to Astonish #1-7
    *Daredevil #7
    *Daredevil #2 (Waid)
    *Flash 1-6 (1987 series)
    *Bizarro World (Adventure Comics) #285
    *Amazing X-Men 13 and 14
    *Rat Queens 6-8 +Braga special
    *ANXF 15-19

So, what is that a total of 43?

You're like 35 ahead of me. I'm behind on opening packages too. Went to a mall today where they had a lil comic sale and I got a signed Civil War #1. I might read that next year.

I force myself to take more downtime in the colder months. Christmas is hectic for us, and I usually need the break from work. Especially this year. That is the only reason I have read that many comics so far this year.

It was a good weekend. Got caught up on whats going on in Avengers "Time Runs Out" and Finished up the "Gods Head" Green Lantern Event which was pretty good. I am interested in seeing what happens next. Looks like the Source Wall is about to get alot more interesting. 18 books read this weekend. Pace is looking strong for 1000 so that shouldnt be a problem but 2000 is definitely going to be a stretch.
    Pull List:
DC: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Action Comics, Detective Comics, Green Lanterns, The Flash, Aquaman, Titans, Justice League, HJATGL, Supergirl, Superwoman, DC Bombshells
Marvel: CANCELLED (good luck with your seasonal approach and constant reboots... I'll miss the characters though)
    Zenescope: Grimm Fairy Tales

I don't know how many issues I can read in one year, that depends on how thick the text is sometimes.
I know my limit is 15 issues a day.
    TRUTH, JUSTICE, HOPE
That is, the heritage of the Kryptonian Warrior: Kal-El, son of Jor-El

How the hell does anyone have time to read 15 issues a day???
I WISH I had that much time.
    Good for you!

When I'm reading a simple superhero comic I can read a comic in 7 minutes if I wish (though I rarely want to) so reading about 6 issues in the day and 9 just before bed is pretty possible for me. I once read over 30 issues on a free day

Sounds about right. I rarely sit down and read less than 10 books in 1 sitting. Normally I can get through 10 books in 90 minutes.

Are you guys talking current comics or older ones?
I can easily breeze through a ton of current comics, yes.
But old ones where there was much more dialogue? No. I take my time with older comics.

I burn out after more than 2 silver age or certain bronze age issues. It's my only weakness.
