Can't wait to watch it on Hulu!
So the premiere episode of this did slightly worse than the premiere of AoS... meaning that its overall numbers will probably be slightly lower.
I actually hope to see Agent Carter get picked up for a full season 2, alongside season 3 of AoS. Carter at 8 and SHIELD at 9 would make a very solid Tuesday block for ABC.
Yep... same as they do for AoS (which gets about an 80% bump from the +7 numbers). And, with the Agent Carter premiere being a two-hour episode, it probably got DVR'd a lot.
This show made a smart move by showing us Captain America right out of the gate (even if it was just archive footage from Cap 1) to immediately tie the show to the movie franchise... since there isn't much in the story itself that makes that connection.
Yeah, I'm not sure anybody has a good handle on those +7s (that 80% is pretty unreal, given that a lot of other shows only rise 25-30%). Interesting to see if it holds the younger male audience throughout the rest of its run---that was what was so valuable with AoS; the show was actually pretty good in the action adventure area.
AoS is one of the two or three best performers in the +7 numbers. Shows that appeal to the younger demographics tend to get lower overnight ratings because young people don't watch shows live anymore.
Agent Carter should do well with males, and probably better than AoS with females. It would give AoS the strong lead-in it desperately needs, and not the string of flop sitcoms and reality show reruns it's been getting. (Unfortunately they can't run the Charlie Brown Christmas special every week.)
ouch, agent carter did the same numbers as flash and flash is on lowly rated CW that isn't as accessible as ABC.
Yeah, I think the CW is a broadcast station. They took the place of my local Warner Bros. channel.
"A happy ending? So unlikely. We're not having a moment here.
Wrong city, wrong people, all huddling in fear.
No one escapes the slaughterhouse, and that's just where you're at.
(You could've asked Rebecca but then Adam stomped her flat.)
You think you're special cuz you're scrappy? You're deluded, time to go.
Lucy's living on the moon but you're another dead psycho."
Flash doesn't get 6 million viewers. Flash's overnight ratings for the series premiere were adjusted up to 4.79 million viewers in it's debut (Live+SD) making it CW's highest rated debut in 5 years and hasn't matched that since:

Flash's premiere did also manage a 1.9 in the demo but that doesn't mean it equaled 6 million viewers over all.
The Flash rerun opposite Carter at 8pm got 1.36 million viewers the rerun of Supernatural opposite the 9pm Carter got 1.03 million.

That dang NCIS. These numbers are nothing to scoff at...so I think Carter can be categorized as well-received.
Reading Miracleman, Amazing Spider-Man, Batman Eternal, Earth2, Gotham Academy.
