I really want to see an Atom series focusing on Ray and Ryan on science misadventures. Some goofy fun stuff reminiscent of the Silver Age.

Not much in Superman. Just freaking out like the rest of the league. Although he is drawn very nicely by the talented Mr. Reis.

In Hawkman he only showed up at the end but he will be in the next two issues at least for some classic Hawkman/Atom team up awesomeness.

Yes it was Ray. Ryan Choi was standing next to him in his suit as well.

As a Palmer fan would the Superman issue be worth picking up? Or was it just a minor appearance?

Nah , I would say four bucks I sent worth it. It was just one page and he didn't contribute much.
