I remember a lot of people saying the same thing about Guardians of the Galaxy even AFTER the first trailer.

Marvel has definitely had quite a number of misfires, imho.

All said, there's not much to judge the film on in this trailer. I do like that Scott has someone (Cassie) else to fight for rather than just an idea. I also like the feeling that he's not some great man like Stark or Thor or even Rogers. He's just a guy.

This. Tony Stark is a genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. Steve Rogers is a saint. Thor is a god. Scott is the closest to a regular guy we've seen so far and I really like that.

LOL...yeah, same here. A big fan of the MCU, but that trailer didn't grab me. I should add, though, I wasn't feeling the first Guardians trailer, either. After watching it a few times, it didn't do it for me. Hell, even the first viewing of the movie didn't really do much for me.

I watched it on IMAX and man, was I blown away! Love GotG now. Day one blu-ray steel book purchase!

HAHA...BURN! I hated Thor the Dark World. What a lousy movie. Then again, I've been hearing a lot of talk about how Alan Taylor was a late in production addition as a director, as there was a different directory developing the movie before moving on.

Naw, the movie is going to rock. They can get by on the strength of the cast alone here.

Ticket wise though, I think Ant-Man will do First Avenger numbers though I'm hopeful for a Guardians style smash.
