Looks good. I like the character arc they seem to be setting Lang on. It doesn't seem totally different from what has come before with the other heroes but different enough to be exciting.
But are you the only metal that's liquid at room temperature?
Can we stop a second about making money and selling tickets and creating bombs, and appreciate the details (whoever from the film crew that put them in)? I really like the city-wide monitor system Pym is using to stalk Scott. Straight out of comics.
Looks pretty damn cool to me!
I mean, THE ANTS SOUND LIKE HELICOPTERS!! How awesome is that?
And haters shmaters, Thor: The Dark World is great, loved it!
In all honesty it looks as good as I thought a movie about Ant-man was going to look, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I honestly think the suit itself looks pretty great.
If anything I like that Michael Douglas is being serious about everything and Paul Rudd seems to be more snarky and humorous, hopefully they gave him some good lines.
"It's fun and it's cool, so that's all that matters. It's what comics are for, Duh."
Words to live by.
oh, come on... that footage with Ant-Man flying on his ant... Pretty epic stuff )... P.S. Like with every success story, people are just waiting for a failure, the moment it all comes crashing down, because, well, people... (if you ever even glimpsed at gossip magazines in the grocery store you know what I'm talking about). Will wait for at least some reviews to come out before making my conclusion.
And Evangeline Lilly apparently being a badass (and quite toned). So all is right with the world. As for this bombing, it'd be really satisfying if this turns into another GOTG, just to see the people who make that argument stumble all over themselves to try and CTA.
Its inevitable when you're talking about films. Personally I want a great movie more, but at the same time I WANT the movies to do well to ensure that they continue to get made.
I also love Pym's setup. And Michael Douglas's narration had such a...sincerity to it. I honestly played the trailer over and over again just to hear him speak (and to hear charming-to-a-fault Rudd go "Huh")
Really dug this trailer. I like that it's set up as - no pun intended - a small scale story in the MCU. Coming after Age of Ultron, it makes sense to have a story taking place on a more human level rather than more ass kicking on a global scale. I also like that this isn't looking like a comedy. I'm sure it'll be funny and we get a taste of that here but it looks like there's a genuine sense of heart here. And the Ant-Man stuff looks terrific. If nothing else, I'd be sold on this movie just for the shot of Scott riding an ant.
IM3 made 1.2 billion dollars world wide. I think that's better than "relatively OK."
Everyone, talk about your feelings on the character, the trailer, what you saw, what you'd like to see more of. Speculation on whether the film is going to perform well isn't productive or interesting conversation.

Looks a lot more serious than I was expecting.
I'm intrigued.
I thought Paul Rudd looked pretty good in-suit from the close-up of the poster, but the Ant-Man suit in action looks really awesome. That shrinking and flying scene .
Not used to seeing Hank with a beard...
Oh, and Cassie's no longer blonde. Can't say I'm surprised at this point .
As much as I'd still like Pym to be the lead and Ant-Man, Scott's looking like a pretty fun guy .
