Default New Forum, New Rules, New Start - READ THIS

Okay, folks, welcome to the new Wonder Woman Forum!

It's all shiny and clean and the intention of this re-boot is to keep it that way. The rules are stricter and more clearly stated, so please read them. When you registered you agreed to follow them and if you don't, we're going to be a bit quicker to show people the door. So good news? Clean slate. Bad news? Lower tolerance for rule breakers.

If you wish to discuss the new forums, please go up to the CBR Community Forum. This is not the place for it.

Not only is it a fresh start for the forums but it's a fresh start for the membership. We're all starting from scratch today, so we're going to start a new game.

How many days before a moderator has deleted a post

Count starts at 0 and I'd really like to see that number climb.

The new rules now stipulate that you are *not* to engage rule breakers but to use the Report feature. Please help all of us make this and all CBR Forums a place where everyone feels welcome.

**NEW RULE** Negativity and you. The last thing we want to do is to stifle good, spirited debate and discussion so long as it adheres to the rules. However, there is still such a thing as going too far. Repeatedly posting the same complaint over and over again, either in one thread or, worse, repeating it over multiple threads, has got to stop. I'm repeatedly seeing various threads and discussions all being dragged down the same dark road by posters popping into a bunch of different discussions and spamming their negativity. You're all here because you enjoy the character of Wonder Woman, so let's try to post in the spirit of Diana

Time to put an end to the 'Fixed that for you' posts. It comes under the heading of 'snark' and often comes off as rude and/or antagonistic, not to mention it can cause confusion when you misquote someone intentionally. Public warnings will be given for educational purposes, but eventually it'll be treated like any other rule.

I should note, btw, that Wonder Woman is still a family forum and the same rules apply here in addition to those of the CBR forums as a whole.

Feel free to speak your mind and express your opinions (and you know that we have pretty liberal standards), but remember that human beings post here, people who have emotions and, yes, egos (some more delicate than others). Sometimes the shield of anonymity offered by the Internet and a clever screen name isn't always ample protection against one's judgment. Zeus' aegis it ain't.

Try to agree or disagree with people, not judge people. Disagreements show your opinion and how it differs from someone else's, and they can be supported by facts, figures, and other data, but judgment minimizes someone's opinion or it may allege that you're better than someone else. You may not even be intentionally trying to hurt someone, but we all know how words can do more damage than a two-sided labrys.

We hate board disputes over personal attacks; they're unnecessary, disrespectful to other posters, AND can lead to warnings or bans. If you have a personal issue with someone, either ignore him or her, or PM him or her to resolve it, but keep in mind the same rules for CBR Forums apply to PMs. Something else that helps is simply taking the time to hit the Preview Post button before you submit your post. Give yourself time to reflect upon your words before placing them out there for the world to see.

Feel free to criticize the work of DC (or other) creators and staff, but don't insult them personally.

Bad poster: "You're stupid!" or "Your idea is stupid!"
Good poster: "I don't agree with you."

(And backing up your disagreement with a judgment is also bad -- "I don't agree with you because you're stupid."). That includes calling anyone a 'hater' as well as groups of people, such as 'all of you who are haters' or 'idiots who say this issue is no good.'

Respect one another, or at least one another's rights to post. Report any post you think is a personal attack or spam or something else! We'll take it from there.

Obscenities/Profanity not permitted AT ALL, and using ! or * in place of letters is not permitted, either.

If you're not sure whether a word you wish to use is profane or obscene but it could be, ask Gaelforce via PM. Otherwise, the post will be deleted or edited , and possible further action may follow (which could include time off for you).

Please follow this. It just makes it a more pleasant environment for everyone.

    Thank you!
