A little retro Keown -- as in 1985!
This one is interesting; Hulk style guide from...I have no idea. Labeled as "1980's".
I get an Al Milgrom/Dennis Janke from HULK #324 vibe to it.
Someone going to riff the Chewbacca mom with this mask?
It's tragic that Len Wein passed away. He gave so much to the Hulk/Banner mythology lore. Awesome smashing and fights, as well as some seriously emotional, touching moments. Including this one that I fondly remember.
Rest in Peace, Len Wein.
You will be missed by all.
So, is anyone else reading Thor Vs. Hulk: Champions of the Universe?
Yeah, I am.
Not much to go on, I suspect a fun, but ultimately somewhat shallow story, we have to work togehter blah blah blah.
Still, it's a lot better than what we have and been getting out of the main Hulk title for the last 7 years. And it's probably better than what's going on in the main Thor title as well. At least there isn't some forced PC/SJW agenda of some kind in this. It's a fun, enjoyable read, and it actually stars the real Hulk & Thor.
Here's the cover for the 3rd issue of the series.
I believe it is a digital only series available only online. However, the TPB will be released and is available for preorder on Amazon. Thus far, with the first issue, it's been a welcome and very fun story. Reminds me of the classic Sal Buscema Hulk comics.
Thor Vs. Hulk: Champions of the Universe #2 was decent. Not nearly as fun as the 1st issue, but it was entertaining. I like the set-up for the next issue which should be fun. Hopefully the artist of the 1st issue will return as I preferred their work to the artist who helmed the 2nd issue.
